Farm Kids for College Scholarship Competition
At National Farmers, we intend to help the next generation in agriculture. Encouraging higher education in agriculture matters, so we sponsor the Farm Kids for College Competition each year.

Based on competitive selection, National Farmers judges choose three national scholarship winners each spring. All three winners receive $1,000 each. This is a non-renewable, freshman year scholarship competition for students attending accredited colleges or universities.

Farm Kids for College Scholarship Competition

Farm Kids for College Scholarship Basics

  1. The competition is open to high school seniors who plan to pursue agriculture-related degrees
  2. Students must pursue degrees from accredited colleges or universities.
  3. National Farmers announces three national scholarship winners in the spring of each year.
  4. All three winners receive $1,000 each. The award is disbursed directly to the college or university.
  5. This is a non-renewable, freshman scholarship.
  6. Applicants write two brief essays, submit two letters of reference, official transcripts, GPA and ACT or SAT scores.

First Steps and Top Tips

1.  Download the Farm Kids for College Scholarship Application Pack.

2.  Read and Review the Packet Thoroughly.

3.  Your Application will receive better consideration if it is typed and neat.

4.  When You have Completed All the Steps in the Multi-Page Packet, send it to the Scholarship Coordinator in Your Home State by Feb. 21, 2023. If your state does not have a state coordinator, send it to the national coordinator listed by Feb. 21, 2023. This information is on the State Coordinator page of the Farm Kids for College Application Pack. Students: The Feb. 21, 2023, date required is a postmarked-by date.

5.  If you encounter any problems using the fillable pdf, please feel free to submit all the same information, in the same order, with clear sections, on separate pages. Please be sure your name is on every separate page.

6.  If you run out of space on the application form in any section, you may provide the additional information on separate, typed pages. Please be sure your name is on every separate page.

7.  If you’ve earned a scholarship, you will be notified by April 4, 2023!
