Minneapolis-Bloomington is the place for Convention 2020, February 10-12. This year’s theme is 20/20 Marketing Vision, and you will hear marketing recommendations from a variety of our presenters.

This year’s rundown of speakers includes Minnesota Ag Commissioner Thom Peterson and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is invited. USDA Climate Hub expert Dr. Dennis Todey and Gary Wertish, Minnesota Farmers Union state president will speak to members on Monday, Feb. 10.

On Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, Dr. Harwood Schaffer, University of Tennessee, will talk to members about ag trade done right. Then, Patty Edelburg, vice president of National Farmers Union, will take the stage in the afternoon. She is also a member of the Wisconsin Dairy Task Force 2.0. Dr. John Ikerd, professor emeritus of agriculture and applied economics will wrap the afternoon session. Wednesday is National Farmers election day, for offices of president and vice president. Marketing presentations will also occur Wednesday.

Attendee highlights include a member social Monday, Feb. 10. The President’s Dessert Tuesday, Feb. 11 and entertainment after the 2020 marketing vision convention concludes on Feb. 12.

The Hilton-MSP Airport, Mall of America hosts the annual winter meeting in Bloomington. Room rates are $130, when you make your reservation by Jan. 18. After that date, rates could go up. Cancellation policy is 24 hours before you arrive, otherwise you will be charged for one night.
