Members Urged To Compete In Mideast, Northeast Regions In 2027 National Board Elections
This fall, National Farmers will elect two directors for the 2027 seating year, one director for the Mideast Region and one for the Northeast Region. Those elected will serve a three-year term, which begins with their installation at the 2027 National Convention in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, March 16-17. All members in good standing who reside in the Mideast or Northeast Region are eligible to be nominated for their respective region’s director position.
The Mideast Region includes the following states: Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. The Northeast Region includes Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
Members wanting to be considered for these positions must complete the director resume form and submit a nominating petition form with the signature of five other members who are in good standing.
These two forms must be received in the Ames office by November 1, 2026. All nominations will be reviewed by the Vetting Committee, and those who meet the qualifications outlined in the National Farmers Bylaws will be placed on their region’s ballot.
Nomination forms will be available online at www.nationalfarmers.com after September 1, or by request from the Ames office. You may request that nomination forms be mailed or emailed to you by contacting Judy Krier at or 515-598-4643, or Dave Reed at or 515-598-4646.
Election ballots for the Mideast and Northeast Regions will mail only to members in good standing from those regions. Thus, FY2027 dues must be paid before ballots are mailed in December 2026. Please note: Active dairy members have their dues deducted automatically from their October milk and will, therefore, be paid up and in good standing by December 2026.
